Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Netscout Network Consultant to assist with the implementation of network technologies for key IT

projects.

The consultant will have relevant experience in routing and switching, and deep packet inspection technology, and will assist

with architecture design planning and implementing changes across the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Assign ports for NetScout management ports and IP addresses.

Assign ports for SPAN ports to mirror traffic that needs to be monitored.

Add tap links to the production path without impacting traffic.

Configure SPAN ports for port-mirroring.

Configure IP assignments for NetScout devices.

Validate packet capture on each device and set thresholds for alerts.

Assist with architecture design planning and implementation of network changes.

Travel to data centers and various agency locations across all five boroughs of NYC as required for on-site work and maintenance windows.
