Job Description:

  • Able to work independently and evaluate HVAC, plumbing and electrical challenges
  • Routine maintenance of fabrication facility to ensure its smooth operation
  • Develop, evaluate and change procedures where applicable to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Individual will own the maintenance and operation of the site including ISO Class 7 and Class 8 cleanrooms
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office to create documents
  • Work collaboratively with Workplace Management to ensure site safety and compliance
  • Assists the Facilities Manager as the subject matter expert for site facilities operations typically found in a life science facility, including but not limited to HVAC, Acid Waste System, Electrical, CDA, Nitrogen
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ordering of consumables and arrangement for regulation-compliant disposal of waste Facility modification to accommodate new equipment.
  • Management of key facilities and environmental maintenance vendors including cost negotiation, and time management
  • Will coordinate with engineering and manufacturing personnel to ensure timely work to minimize production downtime.
  • Will write and execute facilities validation, and aid in participation of equipment qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in the life science industry or 5+ years in the wafer fab industry with 5 years in the life science industry
  • Experience with ISO class 7 and class 8 clean rooms required
  • Verifiable track record of dependability
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Individual will be responsible for managing key vendors for maintenance and compliance of the facility including but not limited to Hazardous Waste, Calibration, HVAC, Environmental Controls, and Facility Modifications
  • Associates degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in direct, hands-on facility management
  • Preferred: Completion of HVAC certified apprenticeship program

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working in GMP/GXP
  • Hands on exp working with tools
  • Must know basic electrical, which is critical for troubleshooting, but more importantly safety.
