Job Description:
-
Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of the audience for Client digital properties, the City of New York and how the City can better serve New Yorkers through its digital properties.

Hands-on collaboration to create a seamless blend of brand and function to make it easier for New Yorkers to get what they need from the city.

Collaborate with cross functional teams (product, engineering, content, functions) and across city agencies to develop branding that reflects New Yorkers
-
Generate and develop brand concepts and brand positioning shaped by synthesized qualitative and quantitative research.

Manage development of brand concepts, system thinking and documentation best-practices in partnership with city employees

Create co-branding guidelines for Client and its agencies and offices.

Partner with senior leadership, and agency stakeholders to influence decisions across area.

Create a visual style guide for Client digital properties including color, typography, layout, photography and compass for content and tone.

Contribute to project planning and scope of brand and user experience rollout to Client digital properties.

Establish quality and timely creative production and communication with creative team and gency partners.
Requirements:
-
10+ years of experience in digital graphic, communications, or brand design

Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in brand design, design systems, and co-branding

Exceptional ability to clearly present articulate design concepts and strategies in plain language to partners and cross-functional team.

Expertise in design software including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
